Ambassa (Tripura) October 5, 2022 : Ambassa Parish organized a training session for the youth on Media & Communication beginning from October 3rd to 5th. This course was combined with a marriage preparation course too. There were 38 participants from three parishes of Agartala Diocese. There were many resource persons for the three days long sessions. Fr. Hormis John gave classes on Pastoral communication to the participants with few practical examples. Fr. Ivan DSilva the secretary for the commission for social communication gave classes on usage of Mobile and T.V. He said, “Mobile and T.V can addict the person and he or she can become slave of these gadgets if not learnt how to use”. Mr. Sankunga Darlong spoke on Media & Consumerism in the family. He said, “Media can ruin a family, because it tells the consumers to watch the advertisements indirectly”. Dr. Asok Debbarma gave a long session on health issues, especially on mental stress that leads to physical ailments. The whole sessions were interactive and informative through powerpoint and video clips.
