New Ways of Communicating the Church

Ambassa (Tripura), 25 Oct 2020: Holy Spirit Church Ambassa organized two days program for the lay-leaders on ‘New way of Communicating the Church’ on October 24 & 25th at Ambassa. There were young and old around 105 participants from various villages.

Fr. Buban Sarkar originally from West Bengal serving in Depachara Parish of Agartala Diocese and Fr. Ivan D’Silva SVD the parish priest was the resource persons. They dealt on the topics of Family issues, Marriage cases, Social media, active participation in the church and leadership. The sessions were more participative and interactive through the power point presentation and questions. Pandemic has made us to opt for a new normal and in this new normal period we have found complicated problems mushrooming. Leaders today should know to handle new problems emerging due to online and virtual phase where students and youth are occupied. These days are holidays and the inclination among the youth is to loiter in towns and near festival pergola. In order to keep away from this lure Parish Council members decided to organize two days of classes on the new ways of communicating the church.

Participants requested for more classes on this in the coming days.
