Brussels, May 15th 2006 (Signis) - SIGNIS, the World Catholic Association for Communication, launches its new website, http://www.signis.net, on May 15.
The SIGNIS website wants to be a point of reference for all Catholic communicators. It offers information about the organization, its members, its services, its publications and its activities. It profiles SIGNIS as an international organization active in all fields of the media, to promote a Culture of Peace. It brings news from Catholic media around the globe.
Designed in SPIP (http://www.spip.net) and using PHP language, the new site will be a more interactive tool and will allow for exciting developments in the future. Some sections, still in construction, will include streaming video and audio, online databases, members only content, archives from the history of SIGNIS and Ocic/Unda, interactive forums, etc. Content of the news section starts from January 2006; our news archives will be added later.
The SIGNIS website was created in collaboration between SIGNIS and Media Animation (http://www.media-animation.be).
