In addition to transmitting values such as peace and the rights of children, Signis also tries to educate viewers to be more critical of media and offers technology infrastructure for communication professionals. Father Bernardo Suate, Acting Secretary General of SIGNIS and Director of SIGNIS Services Rome, explains the importance of respecting the rights of children.

"Helping local churches to use new technologies for the mission. And what is the mission of the Church? Spreading the values of peace, because peace-building is a high priority for SIGNIS, as are children’s rights, education in the media, and helping people to be active viewers, to be critical, not to absorb everything, but rather to be able to construct their own information. This is what we try to do."

Through its work SIGNIS touches one of the key issues of Christianity: the proclamation of Christ and His Gospel.

"SIGNIS is all over the world, that is why we hope that Catholics of different countries will join SIGNIS to participate in its work. One of the values and objectives of Signis is also what the Church aims to do, that is to communicate through the media, through new technologies, Christian values, the values of the Gospel, and human values."
