Mangalore, November 6, 2007 (CBCI News/Daijiworld): Webmaster of the popular website daijiworld.com, Walter Nandalike was presented with the ’Pingara Rajyotsava Award - 2007,’ for his outstanding contribution to "cyber journalism" and sensitivity to the "needy and suffering families", on November 6, 2007 at Town Hall, Mangalore.

"Earlier any news from Mangalore and surroundings reached abroad only after several days. But it isn’t the case today. It reaches every nook and corner of the world within a few minutes. This has become possible only because of Walter Nandalike, the editor-in-chief ofwww.daijiworld.com. He has made the world so small with his innovation and creativity,’ said Bishop of Mangalore Aloysius Paul D’Souza.

"Daijiworld.com has been also introducing new talents to the society," stated Bishop D’Souza. "Adhere to the truth and to avoid news which are far from truth," advised Bishop D’Souza.

In his acceptance speech, Walter Nandalike said that the media field is facing cut-throat competition today. Hence, many media are intervening in the personal life of the people. But none of the media should interfere in the personal life of any individual, rather it should promote social welfare, he said.
