Ambassa: 09, August 2020: Youth Day was celebrated in Ambassa Parish. Around 56 youth participated for the one day program conducted by the Parish Youth leaders from different village. Mr. Lalengmoy Halam the parish youth president had informed the parish youth two months before about the celebration of youth day. Holy Mass for the youth was offered at 07:00 am by the parish priest Fr. Ivan D’Silva, svd along with the other concelebrants.

 

 

After the Mass Fr. Ivan D’Silva the Diocesan Social Communication coordinator spoke on the Social Media and Pastoral Communication. He spoke on the barriers of communication and how can youth overcome these barriers.

The second session was taken by Mr. Antony Debbarma the Agartala High court lawyer and Human Rights Activists. He dealt on ‘How to communicate and forward through latest technology what is true and delete what are false’. He spoke about the wrong use of Mobile to spread the fake news and forward the messages and pictures which create tension and mayhem.

Dr. Asok Debbarma took a short class on Covid-19 Pandemic and called on to youth how to be safe with the mask during this lockdown period. It was decided that, another follow up of the class will be held after 3 months.
